Welcoming 2 new group members and updates after a hiatus

It has been a busy few years in the Scown group and I have failed to post updates, instead pointing people to twitter for the recent happenings in our group. However, with the new…er..developments there, it is long past time to refresh this site. First order of business: there have been a LOT of new pubs since the past post back in 2018. Far too many to list. Take a look at google scholar for those: https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=FJNi-qkAAAAJ&view_op=list_works&sortby=pubdate

Second, we have recently welcomed 2 new group members: Melissa Bruns Moore and Tao Dai! Both are postdocs who are working on carbon removal strategies, waste utilization, and bioenergy. Welcome Melissa and Tao!

Third order of business, two big reports have recently come out:

  1. An ICEF report, released at COP27 to much fanfare, providing a roadmap for low-carbon ammonia.
  2. A NASEM report entitled Current Methods for Life-Cycle Analyses of Low-Carbon Transportation Fuels in the United States. It reflects on the best methods to use when integrating LCA into policy-making, specifically for low-carbon transportation fuels. It is an extremely timely report and I recommend taking a look.
