My paper, co-authored by Professors Arpad Horvath and Thomas McKone is out today in Environmental Science & Technology.

I will be presenting in the Energy Biosciences Joint Lab Meeting today on my dissertation work (“Life-Cycle Water Impacts of U.S. Transportation Fuels”), held in 116 Calvin Hall at 12:00pm.  Slides are available upon request.

My group’s latest paper is now published in Environmental Science & Technology.  The NY Times article about the paper can be found here.

My dissertation entitled “Life-Cycle Water Impacts of U.S. Transportation Fuels” has been filed.  Because UC Berkeley does not require a defense, this is the final step in completing a Ph.D.  To celebrate, I will be taking Amtrak’s California Zephyr from Emeryville, CA to Chicago, IL, spending time exploring Chicago, flying to Minneapolis, and then returning to Sacramento to spend the holidays with my family.  Thanks to my advisor, Arpad Horvath, and everyone who helped me through this incredible journey!
